About this blog

I started this blog as a place for me to record evening menu plans for a week for my family of four, somewhere to store the recipes I have on scraps of paper or in my head and potentially where kids can access their mother's recipes in the years to come. Both 'kids' are good cooks in their own right.
Some years on and it is now also a place I can share recipes with friends. Enjoy!

About the family

Me - I am a working mother of 2. I love cooking, when I get time, and planning out or at least having ideas for evening meals during the week helps considerably.

Mr B - the other main cook and a very good one too, but he does like to follow a recipe to the letter.

E - eldest child. Has been a pescatarian for a number of years now.

M - tallest of the family even though the youngest. Along with Mr B an out and out carnivore.

Recipes
We're based in the UK so you'll find a mix of measurements for my recipes. Where possible I have linked to online recipes from some of my favourite cooks and their cook books.

If you need any clarification do add a comment to the recipe and I will get back to you.
